The Larimer County Sheriff's Office has released a statement saying that a body was found in Fort Collins late yesterday afternoon. Larimer County Sheriff's deputies along with the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources rangers were called to Lions Park Open Space on North Overland Trail late yesterday afternoon on a report of a dead body.

The authorities believe the body was that of a 39-year old homeless man who was living in the area.

The Sheriff's office in conjunction with the coroners office are investigating the details of the death. Once the investigation is concluded and the next of kin have been notified the name of the victim and cause of death will be released.
