Day Trip to Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park [PICTURES]

My wife and I always love taking a day trip to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Our visitors from Italy are just here for a couple more weeks, so we wanted them to see one of Colorado's most spectacular destinations.

We beat the rain and made it into the park and up on Trail Ridge Road before it started to rain and snow. Trail Ridge was only open to Rainbow Curve. The entire road should be open by Memorial Day.

We always love to see the wildlife in the park. We saw elk, deer, pikas, humming birds, hawks, and chipmunks. Thanks to my lovely wife, Jenny, for taking the wonderful photos!
