It's been 12 weeks since I first started working out with a trainer at the Fort Collins Club with a trainer. The results are in and the path to a healthier future as been set.

As you sit back and watch the video know that this has been a very hard journey for me and I have pushed myself beyond where I thought that I could go. I have lost pounds and inches and gained muscle. I have also gained self-confidence, pride and a healthier me. From the very beginning I wanting most of all to be healthy, I wanted to tone up a bit and just get in shape overall. I have never been really thin, nor do I want to be. I get a kick out of being able to lift the amount of weight I can and still eat, in moderation, the foods that I love. Watch the video below please and then I'll let you know what the 12 week results are in terms of losses and gains.

As the video begins I am singing... I know that I can't, but it was caught on tape and our staffers, ie: Madi, decided that it was a keeper, just know that you have been warned!

RESULTS FROM D DENNISON'S 12 WEEK EVALUATION AND ENDURANCE TEST

  • lost 15 lbs (with muscle gain averaged in we can fairly say that I have lost about 20 pounds of fat, bare minimum 18 lbs of fat)
  • shed nearly two inches off of my waist and hips (each)
  • lost an inch across my chest
  • gained 0.2 inches in my calves

We don't have a bench mark for my thighs, but they have increased in size, that is most evident in my strength and endurance.

D DENNISON'S ENDURANCE AND STRENGTH IMPROVEMENTS

  • Leg Press: Up from maxing out at 260 lbs to maxing out at 295 lbs
  • Bench Press: Up from 80 pounds max to 95 lbs
  • Crunches: In a timed one-minute test I went from 59 crunches to 63
  • Push-ups: I almost doubled my number coming from 16 push-ups 12 weeks ago to now doing 30 strong push-ups (I did 31, but the last one wasn't stable enough to count)
  • The Mile: probably one of my greatest 'health' improvements for me personally, I beat my 12 week low time and cut 3:30 off of my initial evaluation mile time. 12 weeks ago it took me 16:54 to complete a mile and a lot of that was walking because I couldn't run the whole thing. Now I can run (run the entire time) a mile in 13 minutes and 24 seconds... that is pushing my self hard, but the mental joy of beating myself at this mile thing is pretty cool.

My accomplishments are because of a great trainer, a fantastic club where I feel comfortable to just get in there and get it done-the Fort Collins Club and my determination to become a healthier me.

I have signed on to do another three-months with my trainer Sara Sheets at the Fort Collins Club and hope to break more strength barriers, define myself even more and lose more weight.
