CSU football coach, Steve Fairchild had some time to get to know his new boss, Jack Graham today. The pair drove from Fort Collins to Wyoming for the Bronze Boot run so they had some time to visit. Thursday, Graham was named the new athletic director for Colorado State University and Fairchild has had a less-than-great season (3-9,) with speculation recently that his job could be in jeopardy.

Graham said Thursday when he replaced Paul Kowalczyk that the chat could be characterized as an interview, and Fairchild said the conversation went well.

Although a loss to the Cowboys would result in Fairchild’s third straight 3-9 season, his team was beset by injuries the last two years and he has a strong group of underclassmen returning next season for what is the last year on his contract.
