The McKee Medical Center Foundation has cancelled Sunday’s 25th Annual Community Classic Bike Tour (CCBT) due to health concerns raised by the Hewlett Fire. The event was scheduled for Sunday, May 19th at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.

According to a press release from the McKee Medical Center Foundation:

Pollutants from wildfire smoke can create health dangers. It is difficult to predict air quality for the weekend, but given the size of the fire, the limited containment, and the unpredictability of fire behavior, the McKee Medical Center Foundation believes it is in the best health interests of the participants, volunteers and staff members to cancel this year’s event.

K99 is a proud sponsor of  the Community Classic Bike Tour every year.  Proceeds raised from the event were intended to support a new facility for the Stepping Stones Adult Day Program.  The financial need remains, but refunds will be provided to any registered participant who requests one. For information on refunds, please call the McKee Medical Center Foundation at (970) 203-2519.

This is the first time the CCBT has been cancelled.
