Rarely does a major league player have as big a game as center-fielder Tyler Colvin did last night for the Colorado Rockies (52-75), en route to a 10-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers (69-60) in Denver. Colvin's lead-off homer in the first was all the Rockies would have needed, but went on to score nine more times.

Josh Beckett allowed a leadoff homer to Tyler Colvin in his Dodgers debut, and while the right-hander settled down after that, the Rockies kept Los Angeles off the board and added seven runs in the eighth inning for their 14th win in their last 21 games. Colvin's night earned him the honor of being named MLB's 'Head & Shoulders' Mane Man of the Day.
