Fort Collins being the beer capital of Colorado, and quite possibly the whole country didn't happen overnight. It's been going on for at least 25 years. That is when a few local brewers and organizers started the Colorado Brewers' Festival

2014 marks the 25th anniversary of the festival, and also offers a first... Free admission into the festival. Over 7 acres of brews, music, activities, and more.

Along with free entry, a few other new things will be going on at the festival this year:

  • "Beer Passes"/Wristbands are good ALL WEEKEND LONG. Buy once, attend both days.
  • "The Wilderness" -  Activity Area featuring rock climbing, ziplining, bull riding, bungee trampolines and more.
  • "The Backcountry" - Vendor area featuring Colorado vendors, Brewers and Colorado destination booths.
  • "The Summit" - Specialty Beer area featuring rare brews, Beer School education tent, "Meet the Brewers" interactions

The events get started Friday the 27th and continue through Sunday the 29th at the Civic Center park area in Fort Collins. Passes for for different events, beer, and different ticket packages and details are available here.
