Colorado Woman Qualifies For World Food Championships in Las Vegas
A Colorado woman has qualified for the World Food Championships. Castle Pines resident Karen Harris won the Saucy Mama’s 2014 Recipe Contest and secured a spot at the third annual World Food Championships in Las Vegas, November 12-18.
Harris won a $1,000 grand prize and a prize pack of Saucy Mama’s new products for the best recipe. She will compete in the World Sandwich Championship at the World Food Championships. Karen's winning sandwich was Honey Dijon Fried Chicken and Bacon Wafflewiches. She featured the sandwich recipe on her blog "Savoury Table".
WORLD FOOD CHAMPIONSHIPS CATEGORIES
The third annual World Food Championships features nine food categories: BBQ, chili, burger, sandwich, recipe, dessert, bacon, pasta and seafood, competitors will battle for their chance to claim the title of World Food Champion.
