Colorado Well Represented in London Olympics

Colorado will be well represented at the 2012 Olympics in London in less than a month.  The biggest star at this years games could end up being teenager Missy Franklin.   There are also members of team USA from CU and CSU. 

Franklin will be a senior next year at Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora. Missy won the 200-meter backstroke finals yesterday in the Olympic Swimming Trials. She has now qualified for seven Olympic events: the 100 and 200 backstrokes, the 100 and 200 freestyles and all three relays.

former CSU Long-jumper Janay DeLoach qualified for the Olympics by placing 3rd  on Sunday.

Also, former University of Colorado star Jenny Simpson is headed back to the Olympics after she finished third in the 1500 meter run at the Olympic Trials and  CU seniors Emma Coburn and Shalayla Kipp qualified in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
