Domestic surveillance is a hot-button issue right now; and, as it turns out, the government is monitoring more than cell phone calls.  It's also keeping track of where you're driving.

KUSA reports that Colorado police are among many police departments across the country that have equipment to scan and store license plate info, whether you've committed a crime or not.

Supporters say the scanners can help track and apprehend criminals and stolen vehicles.  Opponents say it's inappropriate for the government to spy on innocent people.
