The Cold Springs in Boulder County is now 80 percent contained after burning nearly 600 acres.The fire, just northeast of Nederland, is expected to be at 100 percent containment by tonight.


400 people that have been evacuated from their homes will be able to return today by 8 p.m. Boulder Canyon reopened on Wednesday night.  At the peak of the fire, about 2,000 people were evacuated from their homes. The total number of structures destroyed by the wildfire now stands at eight.


The two men accused of starting the fire by not putting out a campfire appeared in court Monday and will be formally charged on Wednesday.

Nearly 500 fire personnel are fighting the fire. The Colorado National Guard has been battling the blaze along side local firefighters. They sent us pictures and video to share with you.
