Colorado Loses Another Soldier from Fort Carson During Operation Enduring Freedom

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Colorado soldier/hero who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Pfc. Jacob H. Wykstra, age 21, from Thornton, Colorado, died May 28, in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained as a result of an aircraft accident.

The incident is under investigation. Pfc. Jacob H. Wykstra was assigned 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.
