The wife of a good friend of mine is a cancer survivor.  Now she plans on climbing one of the tallest mountains in the world.  On January 18, 2014, Heather Purcell Leja will leave for Argentina where she will attempt to climb Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Americas at 22,841 ft. She will be raising funds in memory of Catherine (Hudgins) Tuck, her friend and classmate at The Hockaday School in Dallas.

Heather is a recent survivor of anal cancer and she promised herself that she would make this climb if she survived healthy and whole.
