The Colorado 4-H Dairy Judging Team was among 26 state teams from across the nation that competed for top honors at the North American International Livestock Exposition Youth DairyJudging Contest November 9th in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Colorado team finished 17th overall, 10th in oral reasons, 6th in Holsteins, and 8th in Ayrshires. Brianna McBride was 19th high individual overall. She also was 12th overall in reasons, 17th in Jersey and 18th in Holstein.  Bryanna Andersen was the 4th high individual in the Holstein division.

 

Representing Colorado at the contest was: Jacob Hirsch IV, Eaton; Brianna McBride, Windsor; Wade Hofmeister, Fort Morgan; and Bryanna Andersen, Mead.  The team was coached by Keith Maxey, Weld County Extension Agent, Greeley, and Debbie Carpio, Kersey.

NAILE is the world’s largest all-breed, purebred livestock exposition offering approximately 140 different shows and sales.  Additionally, it features a variety of 4-H, FFA and collegiate judging contests.
