As the march towards the 2011 CBR 'Champioinship Bull Riding' Cinch Tour Finale (September 24th at the Bud Events Center in Loveland) continues, riders struggle to position themselves within striking distance of the tour championship. Cody Maier of South Dakota scored big win Saturday night with a 90-point ride on Berger's Flight Risk.

Maier's two-round total of 177 points earned him the event championship.

The sold out crowd at saw a slew of high scoring rides, including Alfonso Orcozo’s 89-point ride aboard Hurst’s One Eyed Jack in the short go. Orcozo took second place in tonight’s event, finishing two points behind Maier.

Saturday's event was also a part of the Palace Station Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge and CBR stock contractors brought their best bulls to the competition. Hurst Bucking Bulls came out on top, followed by German Ranch/Double S Bucking Bulls and All Star/Cooper/Scuggs. Flight Risk of Berger Bucking Bulls was named Bull of the Event for carrying Corey Maier to a 90-point ride in the championship round.
