Tomorrow, January 1st,  flags will be lowered to half mast in honor of Claire Davis.

While I never met Claire, we all got to know her through the tragic events that also left the Pierson family with a dead teenager. Claire's love of horses speaks volumes of a gentle soul and the ability to trust.

A memorial for Claire Davis, the victim of the Arapahoe High Shooting, is tomorrow at the event center at Denver’s National Western complex (Jan. 1). Davis died more than a week after being shot by another student in her school library.

The event will be called Claire Davis Memorial Celebration of Life. The National Western complex was chosen as the location for the memorial in part because of Davis’ love of horses. This free event is open to the public, but tickets are required according to 7 News.
