Christmas Tree Recycling: Time is Running out

Now that the deal is done and you've begun working on next year's Christmas list, it's time to get rid of that old tree.

The Christmas tree recycling program is sponsored by the city of Fort Collins and Larimer County. There are four Fort Collins drop off sites and one in Wellington. You can drop off your live trees without lights or ornaments attached for free till January 16.

DROP OFF LOCATIONS:

• Edora Park- 1420 East Stuart
• Larimer County Landfill- 5887 S. Taft Hill Road
• Rolland Moore Park- 2201 S. Shields Street
• Street Facility- 625  Ninth Street (SW Vine and Lemay)
• Wellington Drop-off site- corner of Sixth and Grant

The trees will be ground into mulch in the spring and offered for free to the public.
