Wondering what to do with your Christmas tree after the festivities this year? Recycle it! There are various locations in Northern Colorado where you can drop your tree off to be recycled - for the most part, for free!

Before dropping off your Christmas tree at any of the following locations, be sure to remove ornaments, tinsel, hooks, nails, plastic bags, lights, screws, wire, and tree stands. Wreaths and artificial trees will not be accepted.

Fort Collins

Drop off your Christmas trees at the following locations in Fort Collins between December 26 and January 18.

Edora Park, 1420 E. Stuart St.

Tennis court parking lot

Larimer County Landfill, 5887 S. Taft Hill Rd.

Monday - Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Rolland Moore Park, 2201 S. Shields St.

Southeast corner of parking lot

Streets Facility, 625 Ninth St.

Southwest corner of Vine and Lemay

Fossil Creek Park, 5821 S. Lemay Ave.

Loveland

Drop off your Christmas tree at the following Loveland locations between December 22 and January 31.

Centennial Park, West 1st St. and Taft Ave.

Parking lot north of 1st St., west of Swift Field

Loveland Recycling Center, 400 N Wilson Ave.

Residents must provide a current Yard Waste Debris Permit in order to dispose of their Christmas tree for free at the Recycling Center. Open Tuesday - Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Kroh Park, North Highway 257 and 52nd St. 

Adjacent to the Habitat for Humanity location

Greeley

Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Center, 1100 10th St. #216

Available for use by Greeley and Weld County residents
