So, what does this contraption and my Harley-Davidson have to do with each other? Tis the season to be jolly. Here's your chance to submit your pictures.

I first came up with an idea to make my own flag holder over a year ago that would attach to the trailer receiver hitch on my bike. It's a brilliant idea really. When I am not using the flag holder, I just pull the hitch and it all comes off in one unit. Takes a few seconds.

So this year, I came up with an idea to make a Christmas tree for the Parade of Lights in Greeley. Same principle. Make a base, frame a tree out of round bar, and weld it all together. Now all I have to do is remove the trailer ball and put on whatever attachment I have, put the ball back on and the receiver hitch goes right back on within seconds.

The hitch itself is a permanent mount but the receiver comes out like any other hitch. Brilliant really. (I have one more attachment for it that I am going to make but we'll get to that this Summer.)

Now I have a 5' Christmas tree that I will run for the month of December every year. The lights plug into a receptacle in the trunk and away you go.

How about you? Do you do anything for your bike for Christmas or even your vehicle. I have seen some cool cars and stuff that are decked out but no bikes. If you'd like, submit your pictures here and I will make sure to share them with all our other Christmas loving friends. To make it even better, I will pick my favorite and send you a nice Christmas gift.
