Today is the last day I will be actively seeking donations to benefit the Honor Flight Northern Colorado Endurance Ride. Join me Monday, June 1 in Windsor.

Just think, after today, you won't have to hear me talking about my final attempt at the Iron Butt 10/10ths ride which is riding 10,000 miles in 10 days, or 240 hours. Of course I will NEVER stop talking about our veterans, or helping their causes. Today though is the last day I will be actively promoting this fundraiser because it's time to get my ride face on and finalize the small details.

The ride leaves early this Thursday, June 4, but today I am taking the show on the road from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to the Windsor 7-11 at 7th and Main, asking those of you who haven't sponsored any miles yet, to please stop by and support the ride, which of course supports our local Honor Flight Northern Colorado hub.

The goal was to raise $50,000 to send 50 veterans on the September 2015 flight and at the time of this story, we are just short of $55,000. However, just because I hit my target goal, doesn't mean I stop raising money. Today, the thirteen 7-11 stores will be announcing what they have raised in addition to several other local businesses who have been raising money for the ride. The money we have made on the sale of the wristbands and official ride shirt have not been counted in yet either. So, I believe if I can raise $2000 today during my live road show, we will be OVER $60,000 for this fundraiser and all because of YOU.

I also want to take a brief moment here and thank the hundreds of people from not only here in Northern Colorado, but all over the country, who have donated and sponsored miles to make the fundraiser a HUGE success.  Without you, it simply would not have been possible!
