As many of you know, I rode 10,000 miles in 10 days to raise money for Honor Flight Northern Colorado and it wasn't easy. What I am helping with now, is... WHO WANTS PIE?

I am a believer in a lot of things, but when you combine pie with Honor Flight Northern Colorado, I am in at the 100% level, and I don't even have to stop for gas or put a rain suit on.

With the holidays on our heels, many of us just don't have time to do a lot of baking, or if you're like me, just don't have the knack to belt out a good pie. I'm here to help.

Honor Flight Northern Colorado is selling pies for only $15 each, and of course, that money is used to send our local veterans to Washington D.C. to see the memorials and monuments built in their honor. Just start by deciding what flavors and how many you would like:

  • Cherry
  • Blueberry
  • Peach
  • Blackberry
  • Raspberry-Peach
  • Berry Medley
  • Strawberry Rhubarb
  • Apple
  • Cran-Apple Nut
  • Gooseberry
  • Rhubarb

You have three ways of ordering:

  1. Call me during my on air shift at 800-500-2599 between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays
  2. Email me anytime at charley@k99.com
  3. If you have my private cell phone number, send me a text message

Then just tell me what flavors you would like and make sure to include your phone number unless you are sending a text.

Pies are to be paid for up front, cash or check. Checks should be made out to CFSGWC (Community Foundation - they handle all the Honor Flight monies) and jot down HFNC/Pies in the memo line. You can then mail your check to me at 600 Main Street, Windsor, CO, 80550 or you can hand deliver your cash or check to me at the K99 studios or to me in person.

The deadline to order is 4 November and pies will be ready to be picked up on or after 14 November. I will call all those who order from me with specifics on delivery/pick up options. All pies are made by The Village Pie Maker and are all handmade.

Let me close by answering what is sure to be the biggest question: They're all good, but to be sure, you might order two. Besides, what's a holiday dinner without a choice of pie! Disclaimer: No, I didn't make them so they are 100% healthy, natural and lip-smacking good.
