I was asked a couple weeks ago by a friend of mine, Randy King, to put together a presentation for the Loveland Sertoma Club and tell the Journey 4 Justice story in person. So today, I did just that and what a story it still is and I still tell it with the passion that existed almost a year ago if  not with more enthusiasm today. After all, it IS a fascinating story!

I have to be honest and say that I was petrified going into this.  Even though I have been in radio since I was 15, it's somehow is easier to get on a stage in front of 10,000 people vs. something more personal of 50 who are there to hear your story.  But I kept telling myself that it's just a story and to tell it with the passion that started this group and it should be easy; and it was.

Even if I was a tad "long winded."

After I was introduced, it all kicked in.  The fear was gone and all I wanted to do was tell the story and make sure to not leave anything out, which I did.  Honestly, I learned today that I need about an hour to give the story true "justice."  The story was backed up with a projection screen and 60 of some very powerful pictures from the past 10 months.

Hard to believe it's been almost a year and hey, we're still here Phred...yes you, leader of America's Most Hated Family - The Wet Burro's, we are not going anywhere and I wish I could post more of what took place today but let's just say that the future may be a bit different after today.  All I can say is that there were several attorney's present and I am told one of them can also practice law in the great state of Kansas.

Hmmmmmmm

I told the group of my initial ride and how and why Journey 4 Justice got started and how it's continued on with support from teams and people across this great country including the hard core members of Team Topeka. I explained in detail about all the things this so called "church" has been allowed to get away with and they were all stunned.  Things that would land you or I in jail, a summons to court or at the very least, ticketed.  But the City of Topeka has let the Wet Burro's have their run of the town.

Every person in that meeting today had the same questions the entire country has:  Why are they allowed to get away with what they get away with.

My answer?  "Good Question."

What I do know is there were some very powerful people in attendance today and I/we can only hope they too are going to help this cause by doing their part and offering their services to the overall good of what Journey 4 Justice is trying to do.
