Charges Filed After House Explosion in Carr

Weld County Sheriff

Back in August a house in Carr was left uninhabitable due to an explosion inside. The Weld County Sheriff investigators suspected a drug production operation.

Now, prosecutors have filed charges against two 27-year-old men and the home owner. Clayton Smith and Levi Allen are accused of manufacturing marijuana concentrate, child abuse, and arson. The home owner,  Lavonne Bessler, was also charged for allowing the operation on her property. A 7-year-old child was injured in the blast, as were the two men.
