Whether it be hosting harvest celebrations in the fall or providing an abundance of high quality plants come spring time, Gulley Greenhouse and Garden Center does a great job of helping the community celebrate all of Colorado's changing seasons, and winter is no different.

All of the festivities will kick off November 29, as Gulley Greenhouse's month-long Winter Jubilee pays tribute to everything that we love about the coldest season of the year. From holiday themed classes to special crafts just for the kids, and even exclusive sales opportunities on greenhouse items and gifts, there really will be something for everyone to enjoy. Plus, seasonal items like wreaths, poinsettias and of course, fresh cut Colorado trees will be available for purchase. Be sure to take advantage of the holiday gift card opportunity, in which the store is offering a $30 gift card for only $15 from November 30 through December 20.

Santa will be making regular appearances on Saturdays and Sundays through December 20 and visitors are welcome to bring their own camera to take a photo of their child or pet with him for free. Santa's Workshop will also be set up on site and open to kids under the age of 10, where they will have the opportunity to choose a gift for $5, and then the staff will help to wrap and label it. Vendors will be setting up their booths featuring handmade crafts from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, December 5, December 12, and December 19. This is the perfect chance to conveniently get some of that holiday shopping out of the way ahead of time.

For greenhouse guests who would like to get a little crafty themselves, four interactive classes will be held throughout December, providing the opportunity to create a festive seasonal memento.

  • Watercolor Class – December 5 at 9:30 a.m., $30: Trish Murtha will be teaching guests to make their very own watercolor Christmas note cards. This class is open to adults and teens.
  • Snow Globe Kids Craft – All day December 5, $5: Kiddos will have the chance to create a snow globe, an adorable idea for holiday decorating!
  • Holiday Wreath – December 12 at 10:30 a.m., $45: All ages are welcome to attend this fun class where guests will get to decorate fresh cut wreaths to take home with them. It will look fantastic hanging on your door throughout the winter!
  • Christmas Centerpiece with Candle – December 19 at 10:30 a.m., $35: Using living plants and fresh branches, crafters will create jovial centerpieces for the dinner table.
