UPDATE: The CDC now has expanded the warning to all romaine lettuce from all locations. 

If you love your Romaine lettuce, you might want to take a look into your fridge and get rid of what you have the Center for Disease Control is warning.

Romaine lettuce from the Yuma, Arizona region could be contaminated with E. Coli. The warning is for lettuce that is whole heads, hearts of romaine, chopped romaine, salads, and salad mix bags. The CDC is urging consumers not to buy or eat the romaine lettuce that you can purchase at a grocery store or eat at a restaurant unless you can positively confirm that the romaine is not from the Yuma, Arizona region.

If you happen to have romaine lettuce in your refrigerator and cannot confirm its growing location, throw it out immediately. You should also wash and sanitize the drawers or shelves in your refrigerator to reduce the possibility of an E. Coli contamination.
