Space Shuttle Endeavor Lifts Off

The Space Shuttle Endeavour lifted off today its final mission. After a delay caused by mechanical difficulties, space shuttle Endeavour blasted off on its final mission. The  Shuttle launched at 6:56 a.m. from Launch Pad 39A of the Kennedy Space Center. This is the 25th and final liftoff for Endeavour, and the second-to-last shuttle launch ever. In June, Space Shuttle Atlantis is set to take off for the final shuttle mission.

Osama bin Laden Killed in Pakistan, President Obama Confirms

In a stunning development, President Barack Obama confirmed late Sunday evening that Osama bin Laden, the leader of terrorist group Al-Qaeda responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks, was killed Sunday in Pakistan.

Obama made the announcement in a televised address shortly after 11:30 PM ET, about an hour after reports of bin Laden's death had made their way onto the Internet.
