Hello K99 crowd! I'm Brianna and I will be interning at K99 for the summer and couldn't be more psyched! I'll be helping out the morning show with Todd and Brian and I'm sure their crazy, hilarious antics will keep me awake at 6 A.M. We would love to go out and spend a bunch of funny and have a blast but money is tight for us so we look for the affordable fun....like free.
Memorial Day marks the beginning of Summer, camping and the tasty BBQ season. But it should be a stark reminder to us all that Memorial Day is not about camping and BBQ's at all; it's a time to reflect on those who sacrificed their lives so that we may have the freedom we have to do all these things this weekend. As we enjoy our freedom this week, let's all take a moment to remember those soldiers who are not with us.
It warms my heart when people put a lot of hard work into helping others, so I was blown away when I found out this 'Stuffed With Love' project was being put together by a 15-year-old girl here in Timnath. She has put together a drive to collect stuffed animals and notes of support for children affected by the horrendous Oklahoma tornadoes and will personally deliver them. She just needs your help for stuffed toys, notes of support, and cash donations.
So please, get a stuffed animal, tie a green ribbon on it, write some kind words for a kid who's like was turned upside down, and drop it by Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson this Saturday from 8AM-1PM. Read on for more details.
Toby Keith only recently got back into the United States after his latest USO tour, and was actually in Moore, Oklahoma right before the deadly tornado struck on Monday (May 20), but left for Nashville to record new music just hours before it touched down. When he heard about the wreckage and devastation the storm caused, he returned to his hometown the next day, ready to help and assess the damage.
