The High Park fire in Colorado is affecting many, many people. Including the spouses of the nearly 2,000 firefighters battling the blaze. I have an old friend-Cindy- her husband Mark is one of those fighting to bring the fire under control.

I sat down with Cindy to talk about being a firefighter's wife.

Larimer County Commissioners Add Fire Restrictions

Due to extremely dry conditions in Northern Colorado and the High Park Fire burning west of Fort Collins, Larimer County Commissioners have added additional Fire restrictions.  The new restrictions include Open Fires, Contained Open Fires and the Sale and Use of Fireworks and Public Fireworks Displays for the unincorporated areas of Larimer County through September 30, 2012.

Jr. JAM! is Today – Family Fun All Day & the Opportunity to Help Fire Victims

When I was a kid I can remember my family always making the comment “I wish I had half as much energy as that kid.” I always got annoyed by it thinking that they were just lazy, and if they really wanted to they could get off the couch and run around in circles and bounce off the walls with me. Now that I have kids of my own I realize that their energy level really is through the roof and people weren’t kidding when they made those comments! I am always looking for creative ways to burn the kid’s energy, and this weekend it’s a no-brainer! Jr. JAM! The day where it’s fun to be a kid.

Changes For Boating Permits in Larimer County – Hearing Scheduled Tonight

Larimer County has proposed some changes to annual vehicle and boating permits, so The Board of Larimer County Commissioners have scheduled a public hearing for tonight (Monday, June 11th) to get input on the proposed changes.

High Park Fire Update: June 11th, 7:30am [VIDEO]

The High Park Fire has consumed over 36,000 acres, and is still reported at 0% containment.  The shelter has been moved from Cache la Poudre Middle School in Laporte, to the Ranch at I-25 and Crossroads Blvd.
