Another Monday and another day to talk about a heartbreaking Bronco loss. They have been so close so many times this year but just can't get over the hump. Is it the players? Is it the coaching?
Welcome to the weekend. I hope you had a week full of achievement, acceptance, peace and love. We have to work for our happiness every single minute of the day. If you let your guard down even for a second that nasty ole negativity and self-doubt can sink in. Here are a few of the thoughts that kept me rocking this week
This is my favorite weekend of the year that is not a holiday. It is the end of Daylight Saving Time and I am jacked. I love the dark. During the summer months I never get to see the end of a day and that can screw with your brain.
Well tonight is the night men are supposed to pretend they are master chefs and create a meal for the family. It is National Men Make Diner Night which in a lot of homes will mean it's "Let's Go Out to Diner Night", but some of you guys will want to make a meal and may need a little help.
The ghouls and goblins will be out in full force tonight. Is your stereo ready with the right music for the night? You need a little help from a long haired country boy? I am here for you. I have songs about country singing ghosts, ghosts of past loves, voodoo priestesses and soldiers to name a few.
William Michael Morgan is one of my best friends...period. I love this guy. We have become quite close over the years and I am honored by our friendship. We bonded long ago but when he played our Habajeeba Show a few years back we became tight.
There is no questioning the fact that I am a HUGE Cody Johnson fan. I just pre-ordered his new album 'Ain't Nothin' To It' and can't wait to get all the tunes. When you pre-oreder the album you get a few cuts right away like 'Fenceposts', 'Long Haired Country Boy', the current single 'On My Way to You',
Today is Create a Great Funeral Day. I say we change this up a bit and create an event to celebrate the life of someone you love while they are still around. You often hear people ask "how do you want to be remembered?". My answer to that is that I just want to be remembered...period.
There are certain people in the country music business that I always get excited to interview and John Rich is right on top of that list. I have always been a huge Big & Rich fan and John always has something relevant to say. He is not only a great singer and songwriter but also a very smart businessman and entrepreneur.
We are in this battle together. We are the people and we make the mood and create the energy out there. It takes a positive mind set and dedication to be happy. It can be a lot of work and every little bit of encouragement certainly helps get through the week. Here are some of the things that hit my melon to help me this week.
I have no problem admitting I am a very spiritual person. I am not a churchy person but I sure have a connection and relationship with a greater being whom I speak to daily. We are free to believe in whatever we choose and I respect that to the ends of the earth.
I have no problem taking a stand for things I believe in. I believe in protecting each other and treating each other with respect. Those who commit domestic violence have no place in my life. I know you feel the same. Today and every day we need to stand up and be there for those who have gone through or are going through the hell of abuse.
