New Country 99.1 Staff

First of all I have been married for 32 years to my bride Kyla. I love her and love the beauty of women. I also am not afraid to acknowledge that a man can be good looking as well. Today is National Boyfriend Day and I thought I would confess and put together a list of my top 5 man crushes...here we go

It all comes down to one game. They played 163 of them so far this year and it all comes down one single game to determine if the season is over or if we have a chance to go for the title. The Colorado Rockies have given us a very exciting season but we want more...a lot more and we are going to get it. Here are some reasons why.

There are few men I have respected more than Chris LeDoux. Chris was a real man, a real gentleman, a real cowboy, a real family man and a real country singer. He never asked for any of the fan fair or glory, he just rode his horses and sang his songs while the rest of us reaped the rewards of his work.

Well today is going to be a tough day to get much done at work. A lot of our minds are going to be on sports today. This is about as big of a sports day in Colorado as we have ever had. The Rockies play at 2 this afternoon against the Dodgers for the division title and then the Broncos and Chiefs will battle on Monday Night Football.

Today is International Coffee Day and Homemade Cookie Day so we are serving both up in the K99 parking lot this morning. The great folks at Harbinger Coffee are hooking up with us to serve you a warm cup as you roll through on your way to work this morning.

Well I am back and fired up with my weekly words of wisdom. I have needed them a lot lately and struggled, but am flying higher than ever now. I always break through, it just takes a little longer to reboot my system sometimes, but I never quit rebooting until I get it. I got it now. Here are a few that helped me this week. We have had a very unusually warm September. We are near the end of the month and we are going to go on a roller coaster ride of temperatures to wrap up my favorite month of the year. Get ready to go from t-shirt to jacket to t-shirt over the next couple of days.

It was another great night for our Colorado Rockies as they laid a butt whooping on the Phillies. The Rockies bats have been lethal lately and continued the onslaught last night when they put up 14 runs on Philadelphia.

I am so glad I had the chance to be at one of the shows on the final George Strait tour. I was able to see George perform with Merle Haggard and it was a night I will never forget. Come to think of it, every single time I went to a George show it was a night to never forget.

Yesterday was a great day for our Colorado Rockies and their playoff quest. The Rockies once again hammered the Phillies 10-3 and both the Dodgers and the Cardinals were losers. The Dodger loss means the Rocks are just a half game out of first place in the division.

Life can work in mysterious ways. I was in need of a lift and boy did I get it. I received a wonderful new edition to my family. I am now the proud owner of a beautiful new dog. I didn't know I needed him but he touched my soul the minute he walked into my home

I am finally back and it feels so good. I have been sharing my ongoing battle with mental health issues and I thought I would give you a wonderful update. As I wrote last week, I have had a very difficult few months dealing with the latest chapter of my life. I have had to face things and situations I did not ever dream would be happening. I was not winning.
