I am always an open book with you. That is the kind of relationship we have always had so I don't mind sharing my struggles with you. Yesterday I felt the power of pets and their love and healing more than I ever have in my life. I think my dog saved me yesterday.

We all need a name and our K99 truck is no exception. A couple of weeks ago I asked you to give me some suggestions for names for our truck. You came up with some great ones...some weird ones too. I was very proud.

Nothing breaks my heart more than seeing a child hurting. I just had this happen at home yesterday where a neighbor man accused my grandson of stealing a scooter, which he was totally innocent of, and it just broke his heart. He was in tears and it sure hurt me too. That is similar to the feeling of being bullied.

There are few things sweeter than a kid playing in the snow. That snow started to fall a bit around the area yesterday and more is expected today and perhaps into the weekend. I didn't get much around my place but out on the eastern plains there was a bit more.

I try to keep out of politics or political issues because there is really no way to win when you do. I want people to like me so I tend to keep those feelings under wraps. The one exception though is the National Anthem controversy in the NFL. I do not now nor will I ever get the need to kneel during the anthem.

My youth was spend hanging out in and working in record stores. I loved spending the day there just flipping through the album covers and deciding what I thought would be cool to buy. I spent every penny I had while I was growing up, on music. I am now a 53 years old man but still do the same thing.

I have made a vow to start spending more of my time on things that really matter, like love, family and fun. I find that the 3 of those go hand in hand. When you need a hit of happiness and smiles there is nothing seeing your family and holding a little baby to make everything fall into perspective. I got a big dose of that over the weekend.

Congratulations! We have made it to Friday and are still in tact. It can be a battle out there but when we stick together and love and care for each other, we can make this world a better place one day and one personal encounter at a time. This week was a better one for me and I found some mental clarity that had been missing.

Today's date is 10-4. Sounds like the perfect time for some trucker songs. I also love the fact that my nephew picked this date to get married years ago so he would always remember the date of his anniversary..."I got married on 10-4 good buddy" is how he always remembers it.

Today is Cinnamon Roll Day!!! I love love love a tasty cinnamon roll. There are some great ones in our area too. Johnson's Corner is world renowned for theirs and they are darn good. I happen to be partial to Gray's Cafe in Ault but I know there are many I have not tried and want to try all of them.

First of all I have been married for 32 years to my bride Kyla. I love her and love the beauty of women. I also am not afraid to acknowledge that a man can be good looking as well. Today is National Boyfriend Day and I thought I would confess and put together a list of my top 5 man crushes...here we go

It all comes down to one game. They played 163 of them so far this year and it all comes down one single game to determine if the season is over or if we have a chance to go for the title. The Colorado Rockies have given us a very exciting season but we want more...a lot more and we are going to get it. Here are some reasons why.
