July 16, 2012 When Justin Moore sang "Small Town USA" he was singing about my upbringing. I am proudly from a small town and believe that is where the heartbeat of America comes from. I love the Greeley Stampede and Cheyenne Frontier Days but the small town gatherings are where I am most at home.

It makes me proud to say that I am from the same community as a great guy like Shane Carwin. Some like what he does, others don't care for it, but there is no denying one thing... Shane is a great human. Yesterday it was announced that he will be one of the two coaches to participate in this years national TV program, "The Ultimate Fighter." Shane will also be at Shawn Patrick's Lures 4 Laney this Sunday taking pictures and signing autographs.

March 13th, 2011, a day Jason and Brenna Wadsworth knew was coming, but still dreaded since the previous July. Their three-year-old daughter, their sweet little “Laney Bug,” Delaney Wadsworth left her once healthy, but now cancer stricken, painful body and passed on. A story that touched my heart, and many others deeply as well. That feeling did not end when Laney passed, her story and memory will continue on forever. Please read, watch, cry, hug, love, help others in similar situations and don't forget to smile too! Make sure to come out to Lures 4 Laney this Sunday, and never forget Delaney!
Normally when it's someone's birthday you give them a treat. Not the case when it's 7-Eleven's birthday! They are giving us the treat to help celebrate their 85th birthday. Starting at 11 a.m., all participating 7-Eleven locations in the U.S. and Canada will be giving away free 7.11 oz. Slurpee drinks until 7 p.m.
For years now we at K99 have been proud to call Kenny Cordova our friend. He has played just about every event we have put on in Northern Colorado at one time or another. Now I am extremely excited to have Kenny and the Olde Rock Band coming out to play us some music at my fundraiser coming up this Sunday, Shawn Patrick's Lures 4 Laney.
By now I am sure you have heard about the fundraiser I am putting on Sunday called Shawn Patrick's Lures 4 Laney. The goal f the event is to eliminate cancer in children. I personally can't stand the thought that kids are dying to this horrible disease and there is nothing we can do about it. So, lets raise some money and do some research to get rid of this awful thing. One of the ways we are raising money is through a silent auction with some fantastic items.
I always knew I wanted to be on the radio, and I also knew that when I made it I would use my voice to help others. Well, I have been on the radio for a few years now, so it's time to help people! I can't say that I have ever felt so passionate about something like I do about this event. That is why I would love for you to make some room on your schedule next Sunday (July 15th) and make plans to join me on the Island at Water Valley in Windsor for my 1st Annual Lures 4 Laney.
