Can You Please Keep Your Political Opinions Off Of My Facebook Page

I have to admit that one of my favorite time wasting activities is checking out what all of my friends are up to on Facebook. Here lately it has gotten a lot less fun than it used to be due to all of the political comments. Whatever happened to the good old break-up stories and cute pictures of puppies? I'm not going to do anything irrational and start deleting people, but it sure would be nice if you could lay off of all the political BS (for lack of better terms).

Now, I have nothing against folks expressing their opinions, and Facebook is one of the best places to get your opinion heard, but most of what I am talking about isn't opinion at all. It seems to be more negative. Let's bash President Obama because smokes cigarettes and drinks beer, or make fun of Mitt Romney for having too many plastic surgeries. Will those things really determine who will make a better president? I guess what president Clinton did with his pants down behind closed doors affected how he ran the country thought too, huh?

Remember this is coming from the most UN-political guy you will ever meet... But maybe we should worry more about what these guys can do for us as a country rather than worrying about what the other guy cant do or what they do on their personal time. I would much rather read a Facebook post saying that one of the candidates would help the folks in Darfur than hearing about how the other will cause the U.S. to collapse into a third world country.

It is just my opinion, but I cant wait for November to come and go... I want Facebook back!
