It looks like Cabela's is the first big player to boycott an outdoor show over new laws passed concerning the 2nd Amendment. This isn't just any show; it's the single largest outdoor show of it's kind in North American and Cabela's aren't the only major players that have pulled out of the show already.

In addition to Cabela's, dozens of other sponsors/vendors have pulled out and even the shows hunting celebrities Lee and Tiffany Lakoski and also Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo have said they will be boycotting the show too.

The Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show in Harrisburg PA next month had issued a new policy and it obviously was not taken in a positive way, by many.

Reed Exhibitions, of the United Kingdom, made the announcement last week that it won't not be allowing the display or sale of assault or assault-style weapons and large-capacity ammunition clips at the show.

So 1200+ vendors/sponsor/celebrities who all agree this is against their 2nd Amendment rights started pulling out. You name them: Hunting, fishing and game field preparation vendors. Cooking, boating, camping, bird-watching, and conservation pursuits are all saying goodbye to the show.

Cabela's was very clear why they pulled out via their FB page:

Due to recent changes made by Reed Exhibitions regarding the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, Cabela's will no longer sponsor this year's event. After careful consideration regarding Cabela's business practices, and the feelings of our customers, Cabela's will, unfortunately, not have a presence at the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show - Cabela's spokesman Harold Luther

Cabela's and others have asked the promoter to "reconsider the decision."  The promoter has however said he will see who all pulls out and who is left and make a decision on moving forward, or not.
