In response to the tragedy that happened in Las Vegas earlier this week, a company in Fort Collins will be offering three active shooter defense training courses – all free for community members to attend.

While we can't change the senseless acts that have happened, actions can be taken to be better prepared in case the unthinkable does happen, and you need to keep yourself or loved ones safe. C.O.B.R.A. Fort Collins will be hosting the three sessions at The Dojo regional training center, located at 2600 Canton Court, Suite G. The classes are taking place from 7-8:30 p.m. on October 5 and October 6, and from 6-8 p.m. on October 13 and will be covering important topics such as tactical movement, concealment, evacuation strategies, and scenario based simulations. The hope is that by the end of the course, participants will know how to create a plan and how to react to drastically increase survival in these incidences.

Students are encouraged to wear loose, comfortable street or athletic clothing that they can move and run easily in. Tennis shoes are preferred, but any comfortable footwear is acceptable. No prior self-defense training is needed to participate but you must be at least 14-years or older. To register, call 970-443-9425.
