Don't worry, the airport isn't going anywhere, it is only getting a new name!

The airport that is located in Loveland has been open since 1965 is getting a face lift in the name department. The airport currently name "Fort Collins-Loveland Regional Airport" will ditch the name as part of a rebranding effort that creates a regional identity and moving forward will be titled the "Northern Colorado Regional Airport".

"This has been a number of years in coming" said the airport director, Jason Lincon. "What it;s aiming to do is create a more regional image for the airport, which the airport truly is". The airport's three letter identifier which is FNL will stay the same according to the meeting agenda, which is hard to change.

Documents in the agenda say that the airport will contract graphic designers and public relations professionals to help the airport's staff create a new brand and marketing plan.

The price to change the signs for the airport will cost approximately @25,000 and yearly costs for advertising and website will be around $20,000 annually.

I say the name change is a great move forward, but to keep it quick and simple, I shall call it "NOCO REEG"!
