Carrie Underwood- up for a Grammy on Sunday night for "Temporary Home" -has another reason to be pleased.  However, some folks in Ottawa aren't.

The news came in yesterday that Ottawa Senators forward Mike Fisher has been traded to the Nashville Predators. Which from a husband and wife standpoint makes completes sense. With the trade Mike will be able to be with Carrie whenever he's not out on the road.

Carrie Underwood told People magazine:

“We will both truly miss Ottawa. Mike has been such a big part of the community, and I will never forget how they welcomed me with open arms. We obviously love Nashville, and the teams’ decision for him to now play with the Predators is an exciting opportunity for Mike. I support him wherever he plays!”

Most people would probably be very supportive of the decision.. most people.

The Program Director of Ottawa's 1053  Kiss FM, Gayle Zarbatany, is one of the exceptions--

His comments from the Toronto Sun:

"We know Mike Fisher is not to blame for this trade but feel he was lured away from Ottawa by a country-music superstar. Sure, she's pretty. Yes, she can sing. But can she play hockey? Can she put one on the top shelf with a slap shot? No!"

Apparently, Zarbatany is so upset with the trade that he has forever banned the playing of any of Carrie Underwood's music on his station.

Wow. Upset much?
