Burlington Northern Railway Doing Emergency Work on Tracks in Fort Collins

Expect delays for the rest of the day and possibly tomorrow in Fort Collins. Burlington Northern railway is doing emergency repairs to better serve the community.

Officials with the Burlington Northern Sante Fe railway have been working on tracks in Fort Collins today. Repairs are being done at the crossing at N Lemay Avenue just south of Vine Drive.

Southbound lanes of Lemay Avenue are closed south of Vine Drive with traffic being rerouted west on Vine Drive to College Avenue and then south to E Mulberry Street. The northbound lane of Lemay Avenue remains open.

It’s not clear how long the repairs will take but it could be a day or two, maybe more depending on how things go so you might reconsider your morning commute on Wednesday, January 14.
