Broncos Lose, But Reach Playoffs For First Time Since 2005

The Denver Broncos (8-8) lost 7-3 at Mile High this afternoon to Kyle Orton and the visiting Kansas City Chiefs (7-9). However, the Oakland Raiders (8-8) lost 38-26 to the San Diego Chargers (8-8), crowning the Broncos as the AFC West Champions, ensuring Denver their first playoff appearance since 2005.
It appears that the most likely scenario will have the Broncos hosting a first-round playoff game next Saturday night (1/7) at Sports Authority Field against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
