We have reached the most depressing time of the year for me. Football is nearly over. No more Sundays glued to the gridiron. There are just 2 meaningful weeks of football left ,then what will a sports fan do?

Here in Colorado we have not had much to cheer for when the football season ends. In fact we had bad football from all of our teams this year so the season wasn't even that enjoyable but it was still football. Now is when we would shift our focus to basketball but we haven't had a competitive local men's basketball team in years. Northern Colorado was the exception to that the last couple of years. They were the one local men's team that still seemed to compete every night under former coach Tad Boyle. Tad moved on to CU this year and I didn't know what to expect. He has showed he is a great basketball coach, as the Buffs are better than they have been in decades. The Northern Colorado program has kept up it's winning ways under new coach Brian Hill and sits on top of the Big Sky Conference. CU should be nationally ranked this week and Tim Miles has the CSU men playing like champs again. This could be a special year for local college basketball. Get out to game and cheer them on and who knows....we may have meaningful March basketball in Colorado.
