Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Tuesday is the big day of love. The day to show your loved one how much you care. Shouldn’t that happen every day? To be honest, Valentine’s Day can bring a lot of stress to a person. Trying to figure out what to give can be very difficult time. Many of us don’t have a lot of money to spend on diamonds and fancy dinners and are at a loss at what we can affordably do. Uncle Brian is here to help.

Through the years Todd and I have both come up with some very affordable heartfelt ways to let your lover know how you feel. You don’t need a pocketful of cash to melt their heart.

Remember those boxes of valentines you would buy when you were in school that had Scooby-Doo or some cartoon character on them? Get a box of those and on each one write a reason why you love them. Something as simple as “I love your smile” “the way you laugh” little things like that will melt them. How about getting a bucket of sidewalk chalk and writing their name in a big heart on your driveway or sidewalk? A few years back, Todd got a bag of Hershey’s Kisses and replaced those little pieces of paper in each one with a love note. One time I knew my wife really wanted to get away to beach somewhere but we could not even afford a trip to Ault. I went to the party supply store and bought paper palm trees and sea creatures, a bag of sand in a sandbox, some Jimmy Buffett on the stereo and made a beach in our house. Another great inexpensive thing would be to take advantage of the Loveland Valentine re-mailing program. Very cool and unique.

You don’t need a lot of money to make a special Valentine’s Day if you let your heart do the talking.
