Last year Brian and I had the honor of driving the K99 truck in the Greeley-Weld Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Colorado. They have asked us back for the run on Thursday, May 29 and we are thrilled.  This year we are hoping for no rain, but it didn't seem to dampen the spirits of last year's runners.

The 26-mile Torch Run begins at 8 a.m. in Frederick/Firestone and heads north on Weld County Rd 13 to Johnstown, goes east on Highway 60 to Milliken. Then, it runs north on Highway 257 to the Highway 34 bypass into Evans. The run heads through the UNC campus, north through Greeley ending at the Island Grove Regional Park for a BBQ.

This year the participating agencies include:  Greeley P.D., Weld County S.O., Evans P.D., Eaton P.D., Frederick P.D., Firestone P.D., Milliken P.D., U.N.C. P.D., Johnstown P.D., Windsor P.D., 19th Judicial District D.A., and Weld County Probation/Parole.
