Brian and I read Dr. Seuss books at three Northern Colorado schools over the past couple of days.  The National Education Association's Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2nd, which is Dr. Seuss’s birthday.

We read at Red Feather Elementary and Livermore Elementary on Tuesday and Scott Elementary in Greeley on Wednesday. It's become a tradition, one that we cherish.

We also got a nice surprise from a couple of the schools. Red Feather elementary presented us with a check for the 28 Hours of Hope. The kids at Livermore Elementary had a contest to see which class could raise the most money for our 28 Hours. Their PTO also gave us a check. Already the 28 Hours has raised money to help fight child abuse in Northern Colorado. Thanks to the schools for sharing these pictures.
