One person has been pronounced dead after shots were fired in Boulder.

At 8:15 a.m., Boulder County Communications received a phone call about shots heard at 4475 North Broadway in Boulder.

One person was found with serious injuries upon arrival, and was transported to a nearby hospital. That person was later pronounced dead.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office is speaking with 2 people who were in the residence at the time of the shooting, as well as to residents in adjacent homes.

A lockout took effect at the Shining Mountain Waldorf School, but has been lifted. Residents in the Ponderosa Mobile Home Park no longer have to shelter in place, however, Boulder County Sheriff asks they avoid the area where the investigation is taking place.

Boulder County detectives and the District Attorney's Office are investigating.
