BREAKING NEWS: The Center for Disease Control has confirmed the first case of Ebola Virus in the United States.

As KDVR reported, the first confirmed case of Ebola has been diagnosed in the United States, and it is in the state of Texas.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made the announcement during a news conference late Tuesday afternoon.

The patient is a man that went from from Liberia to the U.S. September 19-20. He began showing signs on September 24 and was admitted to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas Sunday, September 28.

This is the first case of Ebola where someone traveled to the United States and became sick after arriving in this country. “There is no doubt in my mind that we will stop it here,” CDC Director Tom Frieden says.
