Brand New With Barnes features new songs from well known artists and singers you've never heard of before. This, is your weekly recap in case you missed some.

  • Joey Hyde - Get It On

Joey Hyde hails from Grand Rapids, Michigan. His musical roots consisted of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Thin Lizzy and AC/DC so his turn on country was a spin for everyone but was the reason he started to play guitar by the age of 6. It wasn't until his teen years he started to listen to Merle Haggard and started writing songs. In 2006 he moved to Nashville for school but spent most of his time playing in the bars and even went on the road as a guitarist for James Wesley before quickly realizing he wanted to be the "front man." Joey Hyde is singed to Capitol Records and working on a debut album that will be released in the Spring of 2015. "Get It On" is the first official release for Hyde.

  • Chris Lane - Broken Windshield View

Chris Lane hails from Kernersville, North Carolina where he began to play live shows after his college baseball career ended. Over the last few years, Chris has played over 500 shows, opening up for Florida Georgia Line, The Band Perry, Eli Young Band, Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert among others. Chris Lane has also been featured on Lee Brice’sThe Otherside Tour” and will continue to be on select dates with Florida Georgia Line throughout the year. Chris, who signed with Big Loud Mountain, is currently recording his first EP with producer Joey Moi. "Broken Window View" is Lane's first major radio single and will be released on an upcoming album.

  • Kip Moore - Dirt Road

"Dirt Road" is the latest single from Kip Moore on a new album coming out soon. The first single, "Young Love," released last year, topped out at #26 while the new single may not do much better. A bit surprised at the follow up effort off his debut album called "Up All Night" which produced a #1 single, "Something About A Truck," and two top 10's. In fact, the album was the best-selling debut album by a male in 2012 and 2013. Tough act to follow.

  • JT Hodges - Already High

Fort Worth, Texas native, JT Hodges, is a new artist signed to Toby Keith's label, Show Dog-Universal. Hodges, like many, come from a long lineage of musical performers and his Mother, who was briefly with MCA Nashville back in the day, recorded a version of "The Bed You Made for Me", later a top 5 hit for Highway 101 in 1987. His debut album includes eleven songs, nine of which he co-wrote, charting a couple singles. The new single, "Already High," will be on a brand new album coming out soon we hope.

  • Kristian Bush - Trailer Hitch

When you think of Sugarland, you automatically associate it with Jennifer Nettles but it was actually Kristian Bush, who started the band in 2002. Obviously a very talented musician as he has won 6 BMI songwriting titles himself. The single "Trailer Hitch" can be found on his solo album called, "Southern Gravity."
