Brand New With Barnes features new songs from well known artists and singers you've never heard of before. This, is your weekly recap in case you missed some.

  • Lindsay Ell - Shut Me Up

Lindsay Ell hails from Calgary, Alberta and after honing her talents for years North of the border, she now brings a well oiled machine to Nashville for one of the freshest sounds in a long time. Ell's was discovered by Randy Bachman (BTO) at 15 and is one of the best female lead guitar players I have ever heard. So good in fact, she has even toured with Buddy Guy. I first featured Lindsay Ell over a year ago with a single called, "Trippin On Us" which to date, is in the top 3 for most votes ever cast on BNWB. The single did very well in Canada but just barely broke the Top 50 here in the United States. Ell's new single, "Shut Me Up," is on a new album coming out soon and she is also up for the Canadian Country Music Association's 'Rising Star" award

  • Jason Aldean - Burnin' It Down

Jason Aldean would be the first to admit that he is used to making the fist single of a new album a very guitar driven and "in your face" as he puts it. The new single, "Burnin' It Down" is just the opposite with a nice groove, for a country song, and just a mellow laid back tune with a message. The new album has no release date and has not been named.

  • Thomas Rhett - Make Me Wanna

"Make Me Wanna" is the latest single off the "It Goes Like This" album which Rhett released in October, 2013. Two of the four singles released so far went to #1, while a third made the Top 20. Thomas Rhett, the son of Rhett Akins, continues to tour on his debut album and we're sure he's busy working on a follow up album we'll probably see in 2015.

  • Joe Bachman - Lookatchu

Joe Bachman is a native of Philadelphia and with tattoos of Bob Marley, John Lennon and Bono, he doesn't look much like a country artist. But his biggest influences like Garth Brooks, Lee Brice, Kenny Chesney, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash shine through like a bright light. Bachman moved to Nashville 5 years ago at the request of Big Kenny (Big and Rich) and is currently working on his second album to be released soon and "Lookatchu" is the first single from the upcoming album.

  • Lucas Hoge - Flip Flops

Lucas Hoge is from Hubbell, Nebraska and it was when local residents raised $2500, that Hoge made the move to Nashville to try and find his corner in country music. Lucas Hoge has appeared on television programs including a 2007 Toby Keith Christmas production and a Saturday Night Football promotion with Faith Hill. "Flip Flops" is his first radio single.
