Last Saturday night (Jan. 28), Vanessa Pritt from Charleston, W.V. was enjoying a Brad Paisley concert in Las Vegas with her boyfriend, Jason Davis, when Paisley reportedly handed Davis the mic in the middle of a song. Getting down on one knee, Davis asked Pritt to be his wife. Paisley, meanwhile, recorded the whole proposal from the stage on his iPhone.

In the below clip, you can see Paisley performing his love-inspiring ballad ‘She’s Everything’ with the audience singing along and cheering at points. Then, you can see him reach into his pocket for his iPhone, pass the mic down to Davis in the front row and start recording. After Pritt says yes, Davis hands the mic back up to Paisley mid-kiss.

Paisley looks at them and teases, “Congratulations to you, sir. My condolences to you, ma’am,” before launching into the end of the love song. When the music slows and the newly engaged couple take a break to catch their breath, Paisley continues his banter, saying, “That’s a heck of a ring you got her right there. I’d check that and see if that’s real.”

Paisley has some good news of his own, too. He’s currently up for four awards from the Academy of Country Music, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Vocal Event of the Year for ‘Old Alabama’ featuring Alabama and Vocal Event of the Year for ‘Remind Me’ featuring Carrie Underwood.
