Employees at the Clarion found a suspicious object outside early this morning.   Officers from the Greeley Police Department and Weld County Sheriff's Office were on the scene to determine if the object was in fact a bomb or not.

from The Greeley Tribune:

According to Greeley Police spokesman Joe Tymkowych, the officers examined the package and ran several tests on the package to see if it was an explosive. Weld County Sheriffs officers were also on the scene.

Tymkowych said the package had enough characteristics to make them concerned.

Just after 10 a.m., the officers determined it was not a bomb.

“They did a couple of more procedures and it is not an explosive,” Tymkowych said. “It is apparent that someone took every effort to make it look like it.”
