The body of an unidentified adult was found lying on the banks of a pond in Fort Collins yesterday. Fort Collins police officers were called to Cottonwood Hollow Natural Areas in the 2800 block of East Prospect Road around noon Sunday on the report of a deceased person. It appears the body had been there for several weeks. There were no obvious signs of foul play and police have yet to identify the person.

The Larimer County Coroner has responded and will released the official manner and cause of death once an autopsy has been completed.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Sgt. Paul Wood at 970-224-6132.
